Used Engine Warranty
At UsedEnginePart.com, we are committed to providing dependable used engines with warranty and used transmissions with warranty backed by clear warranty terms. We also supply quality oem used auto parts that are carefully inspected before shipment. To ensure that your warranty remains valid, please read the following policy carefully and follow all registration, installation, and maintenance requirements.
Warranty Registration
All used engines with warranty must be registered with UsedEnginePart.com within 7 days of the delivery date. If a warranty claim is approved, the purchased part must be returned to the same location from which it was shipped. Customers must provide the original installation invoice and repair receipts before any warranty claim can be reviewed. Throughout this warranty policy, the term “used engine” refers to the complete engine assembly, including the basic block, cylinder heads, and all internal engine components. These terms also apply to qualifying used transmissions with warranty and selected oem used auto parts.
Warranty Coverage
The warranty provided by UsedEnginePart.com covers manufacturing defects only. Covered components include the engine block, cylinder heads, crankshaft, camshaft, rocker arms, and other internal engine components that fail due to manufacturing defects. Accessories and external components such as sensors, switches, wiring, turbochargers, belts, hoses, water pumps, gaskets, manifolds, brackets, oil pans, flywheels, valve covers, electronic components, and similar parts are not covered under the warranty. These warranty conditions apply to used engines with warranty, used transmissions with warranty, and eligible oem used auto parts.
Refunds, Returns & Additional Terms
Refunds are available only if a replacement part cannot be supplied by UsedEnginePart.com. We are not responsible for labor charges or damages resulting from improper installation. If an order is cancelled after payment has been processed, applicable credit or debit card processing charges will be deducted from the refund amount.
All cancelled or returned products during the warranty period are subject to a 25% restocking and handling fee, unless a replacement has been authorized by our team. Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise specified. We reserve the right to charge a reasonable inspection or administrative fee when processing warranty claims involving used engines with warranty, used transmissions with warranty, or oem used auto parts.
Because these are recycled automotive components, the exterior appearance of the engine or transmission is not guaranteed. Cosmetic marks, surface rust, scratches, or discoloration do not affect performance and are not considered manufacturing defects. Mileage information is provided as the closest available estimate based on supplier records and available information.
Customers are encouraged to inspect all shipments before signing the delivery receipt. OEM replacement components are interchangeable with compatible factory-installed parts, making our oem used auto parts a reliable replacement solution. UsedEnginePart.com does not assume responsibility for towing, transportation, shipping charges beyond the original delivery, or labor expenses unless a written agreement has been made before purchase.
Warranty Claim Requirements
Before submitting a warranty claim for used engines with warranty or used transmissions with warranty, customers must provide complete documentation. Every claim must include a computerized diagnostic report showing the cause of failure together with the projected repair estimate.
The diagnostic report must include:
- Date of inspection
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- Complete vehicle information
- Current mileage
- Diagnostic trouble codes
- Computer-generated repair estimate
- Replacement parts required
Handwritten reports or handwritten receipts cannot be accepted.
Customers must also submit the original installation invoice together with all maintenance records completed after installation. Routine maintenance must be performed by a qualified repair facility. Maintenance carried out by the purchaser or by a repair facility owned or operated by the purchaser will not satisfy the warranty requirements for used engines with warranty, used transmissions with warranty, or oem used auto parts.
Warranty Will Be Void If
The warranty will become void under any of the following circumstances:
- Custom or aftermarket parts have been installed.
- More than one warranty claim is requested for the same product.
- The engine is not installed within 14 days of delivery.
- The engine or transmission is used for racing.
- The product is used for commercial, industrial, or abusive applications.
- The vehicle has been modified outside the manufacturer’s specifications.
- The engine is operated without proper engine oil or lubrication.
- The engine is operated without the required cooling system.
- Heat tabs are missing, damaged, or melted.
- Damage results from misuse or an accident.
- Internal engine components have been replaced without authorization.
- The engine has been disassembled or altered without written approval from UsedEnginePart.com.
- Non-OEM accessories have been installed.
- The vehicle continues to operate after a fault has been identified.
- Required warranty documents are not submitted within five business days.
- Repairs are completed before the warranty claim has been approved.
- Incorrect information provided during purchase results in an incorrect part being supplied.
- Oil leaks caused by seals, gaskets, or filters are present.
- The engine or transmission has not been installed according to the required installation procedure.
These conditions apply to all qualifying used engines with warranty, used transmissions with warranty, and oem used auto parts.
Installation Procedure Requirements
To ensure the best performance and long service life of your used engines with warranty, it is important to follow the recommended installation procedures. Proper installation also helps maintain the validity of the warranty on used transmissions with warranty and all eligible oem used auto parts.
Before installing the replacement engine or transmission, always verify that it is fully compatible with your vehicle by checking the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), year, make, model, engine size, and transmission type. Compatibility should be confirmed before any installation work begins.
Clear all existing computer diagnostic trouble codes before installing the replacement unit. Install a new thermostat and gasket, and replace all worn hoses, clamps, belts, timing belts, and the water pump whenever required. These preventive maintenance steps help improve the reliability of used engines with warranty and reduce the risk of future mechanical issues.
Remove all shipping plugs, protective caps, and orifice covers before installation. New spark plugs and ignition wires should be installed where applicable. The flywheel, flywheel bolts, engine mounts, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, distributor, sensors, and other necessary accessories should be transferred from the original engine whenever required to ensure proper fitment with your vehicle. These procedures also help maintain the warranty coverage on used transmissions with warranty and compatible oem used auto parts.
For engines equipped with an oil cooler, the radiator, oil cooler, or external cooling system must be replaced or properly cleaned before installation. Drain any excess oil or coolant from the exhaust system and replace all service filters, including the engine oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, and coolant (antifreeze). The complete cooling system should be thoroughly flushed and inspected to ensure proper operation.
Before starting the engine for the first time, disable the fuel or ignition system to allow proper oil pressure to build throughout the engine. A new thermostat must always be installed, and where applicable, a new timing belt should also be fitted. Following these installation procedures helps maximize the performance of used engines with warranty, protects used transmissions with warranty, and supports the reliability of all oem used auto parts.
Any accessory components supplied with the engine are provided for installation convenience only and are not covered under warranty. Although these accessories may reduce installation time, it is the responsibility of the professional installer to inspect, replace, or transfer any necessary parts before placing the vehicle back into service.
